About Me

Lauren is an enthusiastic journalism student at the University of Texas at Austin.

As a city/politics senior news reporter for The Daily Texan, UT's acclaimed and award-winning student publication, she dives headfirst into impactful stories that pulse through the heart of the campus and the vibrant Austin community. She is also the collegiate communications director for the National Hispanic Institute at Austin where she writes weekly newsletters, as well as manages and creates content for social media in English and Spanish.

She is also the current digital content intern for KUT, Austin's NPR radio station. She works with the digital team to produce online news content and is working on a crowdsourcing investigative project, ATXexplained.

Driven by an insatiable hunger for growth within journalism, Lauren is eager to broaden her skillset and explore captivating opportunities that resonate with her core interests. Her curiosity knows no bounds, whether it's delving into the written word, weaving narratives through film, or immersing herself in the ever-evolving media landscape. She thrives on exchanging stories, gleaning wisdom from experienced voices, and forging collaborations that spark fresh perspectives.

When she's not writing, you can find her at local coffee shops, performing and directing in her theater organization and going on adventures with her adopted dog, Delta.
